Money does not come easily

Why Do Most People Fail?
by: Stuart Ramsay

Chances are you know of someone who has tried a work from home business opportunity or two and failed. Perhaps you are one of them?

Let me share a sad statistical fact with you.

Out of every 100 people who begin a new work from home opportunity:

96 will do nothing with the information that they have bought and been given!

2 will begin to do something with the information, but will give up.

2 will be persistent at their work from home opportunity and will secure for themselves and family an amazing second income or substantial full time income.

This is an unbelievable fact. The majority of the 98 who did nothing and gave up will more than likely have negative things to say about the respective work from home opportunity they tried. This is because they know that they have failed and have given up. It is basic human psychology to be negative towards something you have not been successful at. So the result is that you have 98 people with negative things to say and only 2 with nothing but positive and encouraging words to pass on. In such a situation it is difficult to hear the positive message over the negative one.

And this is exactly why we are a society of cynics and non-believers!

People who are successful at work from home opportunities are not more intelligent than you or have some magical gift that you do not possess. They just decided to act on the information they were given, learnt it and then did it. You see, whilst so many of us wish for something better, only a few of us are willing to do what it takes to be a successful work from home business owner. Money does not come easily, I can assure of that. It can do over time, but you really have to want it and really have to work at it.

Alternatives to Adsense for Bloggers

Permalink 11:32:26 pm, Categories: Article Writing

By David Hobson

Many bloggers rely upon revenue created by Google’s popular contextual advertising program, Adsense. In all honesty, Adsense has probably been the driving force behind the increased level of interest in using blogs as a revenue producing tool. However, not all bloggers are able to use Adsense and it may not meet the specific needs of some other users.

If you have a blog that produces a nice stream of traffic and are looking for alternatives to Adsense, you may want to consider some of these options:

Adgenta. Adgenta is a keyword based advertising program that allows users to insert ads into their blog. Every time an ad is clicked, the blogger is paid a flat rate of $.015US. Adsense determines which ads to display based on its own assessment of your page’s content. Adgenta, on the other hand, allows you to choose which keywords you would like it to use in choosing advertisements. This can be a great solution for those who have pages that fail to serve up relevant Adsense ads or for those who tend to get only very low paying ads and feel there are related subjects that would induce clicks from users. Adgenta’s interface is simple and sign up is free. The ads are actually inserted into your site using simple HTML blocks and the ads are actually linked graphics, unlike the more complicated script used by Adsense.

Yahoo. Yahoo has launched YPN, its version of Adsense and preliminary reports indicate that it may be a profitable solution for those unable to use Adsense. The Yahoo system works in a manner various similar to Adsense, and Adsense users should be able to utilize the program easily. Although still in its infancy, the program is backed by a major player, which lends it a greater degree of long-term reliability. Unfortunately, the YPN project is still in beta and one must apply for or receive an invitation to participate.

Ad Networks. Instead of relying on a pay-per-click model, many bloggers have decided to sell space on their blogs for advertising. This can be accomplished by the blogger directly or through the use of an ad brokerage. Those who feel your blog will attract the type of audience likely to find their product appealing may rent space for an advertisement on your site. If you have a blog that receives a significant number of well-targeted visitors, selling advertising space can be a great alternative to the Adsense PPC model.

Other options abound. Chikita mini-malls, using your blog as a way to launch affiliate sales, text link programs, the new MSN contextual advertising program and a host of alternatives are available. If Adsense doesn’t work for your blog, or you cannot use Adsense, there are some other credible ways to make your blog a financial winner. Adsense may be the biggest game in town, but it certainly is not the only one!

3 Major Components of an Effective Squeeze Page

Permalink 11:13:03 pm, Categories: Article Writing

By Howard Ng

Nowadays every internet marketer is talking about using Squeeze Page to build up his own e-mail list. “Money is in the List” becomes a motto to internet marketer. So what really is squeeze page and how can you use it to monetize your internet business?

Basicaly Squeeze page is the first web page you will see when you visit a website. It usually consists of three elements. The first one is the Headline with Subheadline, follow by benefits in bullet form and then a Autoresponder opt-in box. The opt-in box is to capture visitor's name and e-mail address.

Visitors usually have to input their e-mail address before they could go further to see the rest of the website. By typing in the e-mail address, they will usually receive some free materials. Most often is some free valuable information, e-course or even a small application software.

The beauty of using squeeze page is about human psychology. Law of Reciprocity is being exercised here. In exchange for e-mail address, the visitor will get some freebies. Now you might say, “the visitor might not want the freebie!” Well it goes back to the first two elements of an effective squeeze page.

The headline of the squeeze page will determine whether a visitor will continue to read the rest of the web pages in the first 5 seconds they visit the website. For a squeeze page to be effective, you have to create an attention grabbing headline. You can use "agitation and solution" scheme to generate the headline.

Other than the actual wording of the heading, the font and color is very important too. Statistics show that Tahoma 18 point in red yield very good opt-in rate.

The second element of an effective squeeze page is putting your benefits in bulletin form. Preferably with no more than 5 bullets. There are always misunderstanding between features and benefits. One way to test whether it is a benefit or a feature is to ask “so what”. If you can answer that effortlessly then it is most likely a benefit. Just like when people buy a drill from Home Depot, they are actually buying a hole – the solution a drill can provide you. The solution is the benefit!

With an attention-grabbing Headline, 5 benefit-rich description bullets and a free informative e-course offer, you will be able to create an effective Squeez Page which will help you to build your own potential customer list and quite possibly rake in a lot of money.
